CBS to offer free webTV streams - Dubbed "the CBS Interactive Audience Network" the American network CBS has concluded content deals with a host of online distributors including AOL, Microsoft, CNET Networks, Comcast, Joost, Bebo, Brightcove, Netvibes, Sling Media and Veoh.

This is a great article from Film & Video Magazine - The new Will Ferrell comedy about a male-male figure-skating pair may seem like an unlikely hotbed for VFX innovation, but the project was in obvious need of a credible ­ and affordable ­ face-replacement technology to create the illusion that Ferrell and co-star Jon Heder were actually skating like pros. A 2D solution was considered but rejected because of the restrictions it would place on the camera and stunt skaters. Instead, Rainmaker Visual Effects developed a full-scale 3D system that used plaster casts, motion capture, and a combination of HD and film acquisition to get facial textures just right.
