The full-featured audio editor's capabilities include Amplify, Null Amplitude, Insert/Delete Silence, Insert Noise, Insert Pulse, Insert Sinus, Fade In/Out, Invert, Normalize, Reverse, Delay, Flanger, Vibrato, Stretch, Mix. Mix from File, Paste from File, Paste from Clipboard, Copy to Clipboard, Delete Selection, Save Selection, Zoom, Convert, Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Crop, Filters (Band Pass, Low Pass, High Pass, Low Shelf, High Shelf), Input/Output Volume Control, Audio Information Read/Write, and much more.

Furthermore, the audio editor can be used for audio file recording from any available source (such as cassette; record player; phone line; TV tuner audio; CD player; line-In; auxiliary; microphone; wave-out; and wave-out mix).

Video editing is available for AVI (uncompressed), AVI (compressed using any available codec), MPEG-1, MPEG-2, WMV, and ASF.  Comprehensive video editing operations are provided (delete frame, delete selection, crop, resize, rotate, mirror, flip, trim, text overlay, adjust audio volume, text overlay, color replacement, etc.).   In addition, an extensive list of over 30 effects and color adjustment operations allow for powerful video enhancement and alternation.

Available effects include Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue, Saturation, Sharpen, Aging, Deblocking, Dizzy, Edge Enhance, Emboss, Fire, Ghost, Glass, Grayscale, Hologram, Invert, Lens, Lightning, Maze, Mosaic, Motion Blur, Night Vision, Particles, Rain, Streak, Wave, and more.   WAV, WMA, and MP3 audio files can be inserted into the video or extracted from the video; and BMP, GIF, JPG, PCX, PNG, RAS, PPM, TGA, and TIF are the supported image formats that can be inserted or extracted.  All video processing operations can also be performed in batch mode on a list of video files using the software's Batch Video Processor.

Advanced CD recording features support writing audio CDs from MP3, WMA, WAV, and OGG files as well as data CD/DVD containing any type of files desired. Powerful capabilities include very fast and efficient multithreaded recording; highly compatible with most any IDE and SCSI drives on the market today; multi-session disc support; auto-detect high write speed availability and is fully supported and optimized internally; ASPI manager not required for NT/2000/XP systems; full re-writable disc support; superior data buffering; and much more. The system allows recording of a data image on-the-fly; no need to create an image on the hard drive first. Therefore, very little disk space is required for data CD recording.

For data CDs, existing ISO images can be imported from other sources, and the software can also write ISO files for external use. Audio CD creation offers such options as caching data locally to prevent the possibility of errors on slower systems for maximum compatibility. Test-mode writing is also supported to verify success without having to risk a wasted disc. Audio CD track manipulation is very easy and intuitive as well. You can quickly and easily rearrange tracks, remove any unwanted tracks, erase CD-RW discs, add a complete path of files to the list at once, and more.

Novice audiophiles and videophiles will enjoy the program's drag and drop operation, its CDDB auto-save, and its many easy-to-use features.  Power users will appreciate being able to fine-tune all of Blaze Media Pro's preferences and settings.

Advanced conversions include CD to WAV, MP3, WMA, and OGG; MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV/AIF/VOX/MP2/MPC/G.72x/AU/RAW to MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV; WAV/MP3/WMA/OGG to CD burning, WAV/MP3 Compression, and two-way conversions among MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, Multi-Page TIFF, and FLIC. The audio content of video files can be extracted and saved to sound files, and frames can also be extracted to images files in batch mode.   Video files can be created from still frame images and/or other videos as well.

Key new features in Blaze Media Pro 5 include a completely redesigned video editor, video batch processor, and video capture features; expanded and consolidated audio conversion; fully skinnable windows; and memory optimization and enhancements to ensure the best performance possible for new hardware technologies.
