Too many video players, DVD
players, video game consoles, LCD screens, cable boxes,
Tivos, computers?
Do you
got lots of video gear and need a good way to hook it all
together? You could use a bunch of cables and just unplug
them and re-plug them back in as needed. But that looks
messy and doesn't work so well from a quality standpoint.
You could strain yourself from trying to reach back behind
the shelves and cabinets trying to find the right
connections.
Plus
constantly plugging and un-plugging jacks and connectors is
not good for the gear and can eventually wear out the
connectors. However, if you want good quality video, and you
want to be able to switch it with just a push of a button,
and maybe, most importantly, you want to look really cool,
then you need a video router.
The AVT-5842 Component Video Router from Audio Video Toolbox
is a 4-Input by 2-Output switcher that can be used for
either a YPbPr Progressive Scan Video or YCbCr Component
Video, plus Stereo Audio. The AVT-5842 is Dual Output
Switcher and the selected input is routed to both outputs.
Selection can be made by the front panel push buttons or by
the IR Remote Control. Up to four devices with Component
Video outputs, like DVD Players, Video Game Consoles, HDTV
Receivers or HD Cable Boxes, can be connected to two TV
Sets, HDTV Displays or other devices with Component Video
inputs, without moving cables around.
