The Venice Walk

Do you have a great idea for a TV show or feature film but don't have the financing or production backing to make it come true? You can use the Internet and the power of Internet video to find an audience for your ideas and concepts and maybe get the financial backing that you need.

Check out VeniceWalk  a - new TV pilot.

At the VeniceWalk web site, take some time to download and watch the trailer and the two webisodes that have been posted on the site.

The series revolves around a former NYPD Gang Cop (Robert Hegyes) turned Venice Juvenile Probation Officer, and the seven Venice High School delinquents who must report to him.

According to Mr. Hegyes, "The series was re-edited into seven mini-webisodes (6-minute's running time) from the original 40 minute pilot to facilitate the web site and mobile content providers. The market audience for the series consists of the 14-28 year-olds, a demographic I'm all too familiar with being the dad of 4 teenagers and a substitute teacher at Venice High School. The 40 minute pilot episode is available to you at your convenience."

Since the premiere of the series in June, it has received over 20,000 hits on the web site, and video platforms, and has been repeatedly a "featured video series" on Revver, and Crackle. The webisodes have been also streaming on YouTube, Break, Veoh and Daily Motion with substantial viewership.

Hegyes said, "My creative partner, Craig Titley (Scoobie Doo, Cheaper By The Dozen, & Sam Raimi's remake 20 Thousand Leagues Under The Sea, and currently developing George Lucas' new Sci-Fi animation series) and I, developed the series with the intent that Venice, with it's DogTown history, street-life, and bohemian roots, is a formidable character in the series. It's photographed in a documentary style, concealing the fact that it is a scripted series. It is an R-Rated "Welcome Back, Kotter" for the Internet generation, yet retains a broad youthful appeal for potential cable audiences."
