Adobe latest bundle of easy to use, full featured applications for consumer and prosumer video makers and graphic designers and all those who need to manipulate and edit digital files has finally arrived.

In many ways, Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 is a light and simplified version of the powerful Photoshop program found in Adobe Create Studio 3. Likewise, Adobe Premiere Elements is lighter and easier to use version of the powerful Adobe Premiere Pro program for editing video and creating multimedia DVDs, However, even though they are easier to use, more intuitive regarding controls and functions, and don't require you to study the instruction manuals, both of these Elements programs provide essentially most of the major functions provided by their big brothers.

If you are just starting out in video production or graphics arts, or moving up form a simple windows based Microsoft program, I strongly recommend both of these programs.

Yes, there are simpler programs on the market that cost less and offer fewer features and capabilities. The Adobe Elements programs like Ulead Photo Impact for still imaging and Pinnacle Studio for video, are wonderful mid-range programs that bridge the gap and provide a perfect middle step between basic cut and move around programs and the sophisticated graphic and video production tools used by the studios and professionals.
