AOL’S SINGINGFISH EXPANDS VIDEO SEARCH ENGINE WITH

NEW CONTENT PARTNERSHIPS

Features Content from AtomFilms®, Big-Boys.com, CBSNews.com, CNN, Healthology, Hollywood.com, IFILM, Like Television, ManiaTV.com, MarketWatch from Dow Jones & Company, The One Network, ROO Media and TotalVid

DULLES, VA – June 9, 2005 – AOL’s Singingfish, a leading video and audio search engine and a service of America Online, Inc., announced today it will begin featuring optimized video content feeds from more than 13 new partners including:  AtomFilms, Big-Boys.com, CBSNews.com, CNN, Healthology, Inc., Hollywood.com, IFILM, Like Television, ManiaTV.com, MarketWatch from Dow Jones & Company, The One Network, ROO Media and TotalVid.

AOL’s Singingfish video and audio search engine allows consumers to browse millions of multimedia files available freely on the Web across a wide-range of categories including entertainment, finance, health, news, and sports. The new partners announced today join Singingfish’s growing roster of content partners including MSNBC, NPR, Reuters and other producers of video and audio content.

“With the growing amount of video content available freely on the Web, consumers rely daily on our leading Singingfish search platform to discover new and interesting content,” said Karen Howe, Vice President and General Manager of Singingfish. “The different video genres that these partners represent – from entertainment, news and sports to education, films and animation – add even greater depth and variety to our ever-increasing index, helping us to deliver more meaningful and relevant search results.”

As online consumption of video content continues to grow, Singingfish makes it easy for consumers to find new and unique content through the popular Singingfish.com Web site, AOLSearch.com and Singingfish’s network of search properties. And by continuing to partner with video producers to include their content in the Singingfish index, video producers can easily make their rich multimedia assets more accessible to consumers around the world, allowing producers to control the video playback experience and helping to drive traffic back to their Web sites.

In addition to managing Singingfish – which handles well over 200 million video and audio searches each month across its network and has experienced 100 percent growth over the past year – video and video search are a significant and important part of AOL's overall product and programming initiatives. AOL Video is one of the largest streamers on the Internet drawing on an industry leading, on-demand archive of more than 15,000 assets from music and movies to television, sports and news videos.

“Consumer research tells us that making favorite videos more easily discoverable is a top factor in growing audience and increasing the amount of time people spend watching video online,” said Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AOL Media Networks. “That’s why as a top priority we’re adding more high-quality video programming to our video search capabilities and showcasing video across the AOL network.”

Conroy added: “We see huge opportunities for growth in audience, engagement and advertising by making video a powerful and natural part of our content efforts. By building on the foundation of our Singingfish search technology along with our own ever-growing video catalog, AOL will set a standard with a superior multimedia experience.”
