cards and modems, both dial-up and broadband, today announced

"We are excited to release this high-performance Stealth
product. It’s
just the thing for the PC gamers and those who would like a
great
graphics experience while surfing the web, editing videos or
simply
viewing digital photos," said Bruce Zaman “We’re proud that
Diamond
Stealth products are some of the best selling graphics cards in
the
industry and our X550 will be no exception.”

The Radeon X550 is the best price to performance ratio for the
value/mainstream desktop graphics market segment. A key point
for the
X550 is that it is a next step up from X300. The X300 is
clocked at
325MHz, while the X550 comes in at 400MHz. In addition, the
X550 will
contain a utility developed by Diamond that will take advantage
of its
overclocking capability. It fully supports the PCI Express® x16
bus,
the newest PC industry standard for delivering maximum real-time
performance for graphics-intensive software applications. It
also fully
supports DirectX®9 and combines ATI’s SmartShader™ and
SmoothVision™
technologies for use in top gaming titles, digital photography,
video
editing and web surfing. The inclusion of ATI technology allows
for
augmenting the Core/Memory Clocks for improved 3D performance.
