AtomFilms inks deals with AOL, Singingfish
and Blinkx for Short Film Distribution
New Distribution Agreements Help Fuel
AtomFilms' Soaring Traffic and Advertiser Growth
San Francisco, CA (September 22, 2005) AtomFilms today
announced new distribution agreements that extend its reach to
AOL, Singingfish, Blinkx and other major portals and video
search engines. The agreements will introduce millions of new
viewers to AtomFilms' unique content offering of the best
short-form film and animation from new and innovative producers.
Each of the companies will promote the content for viewing on
the AtomFilms® website (AtomFilms.com), expanding the AtomFilms
audience and helping satisfy its skyrocketing advertiser demand.
"Innovative short-form content from AtomFilms meets the needs
of today's consumers, who demand bursts of quality entertainment
that fit into busy schedules," said Scott Roesch, vice president
and general manager of AtomFilms. "These new distribution
agreements with industry leading sites will make AtomFilms'
entertainment available to an even wider audience."
An industry pioneer and leader since 1999, AtomFilms has seen
its audience increase 174 percent in the past year as broadband
continues to drive more consumption of video content online.
This growth in traffic has expanded opportunities for AtomFilms'
world-class advertising clients, which currently include Honda,
Mountain Dew, Schick and many more leading brands.
"Consumer interest in online video is exploding and it is one of
our highest priorities to provide consumers with a top-notch and
entertaining video experience on our AOL.com portal as well as
make it easy for consumers to find and discover interesting
video content from across the Web," said Jim Bankoff, Executive
Vice President, Programming and Products, AOL. "With its
extensive library of short films and animation, AtomFilms is one
of the leaders in this industry and we are pleased to be working
with them."
