PodCamp Pittsburgh is coming - on
Nov 10-12
This
will be the second in what's become
a growing number of PodCamp
"un-conferences" around the country.
This is a free grassroots event
dedicated to sharing information and
ideas regarding blogs, vlogs, audio
and video podcasting and portable
media in general.
The
event is free to attend, and all
sessions will be developed
and carried out by the participants
rather than the organizers.
The original PodCamp Boston (Sept
8-10, 2006) saw over 300
participants converge for a weekend
of brainstorming and networking,
including Steve Garfield, Amanda
Congdon, Blip TV and the minds
behind Galacticast and Rocketboom,
among others. The event was cited
over 200,000 times on Google and
continues to grow as more PodCamps
are announced around the country --
6 in 2007 already!
PodCamp Pittsburgh will be the final
east coast PodCamp in 2006.
(PodCamp West occurs in San
Francisco the following weekend --
Nov 17-18). We're in the midst of
securing a location so travel plans
canmore easily be made for our
out-of-town attendees, but you can
keep up with all updates at
http://www.podcamppittsburgh.com
Thanks for your interest and we hope
to see you there! (Or, if
you're closer to San Francisco, you
can follow up at
