Industries asks aspiring filmmakers:
“How do you throw the BS Flag?”
Longmont, CO –
September 27, 2007 - - BS Industries
(www.BSFlag.com),
the maker of the Official BS Flag™
and Official Bullshit Flag™, has
announced that they are now
accepting submissions for their
first Official BS Flag-YouTube
contest. The competition encourages
all aspiring producers, directors
and actors to create and submit an
original short film using either the
Official BS Flag, or the Official
Bullshit Flag, and offers a Grand
Prize of $5,000, a Second Prize of
$1,000, and a third prize of $500.
All entrants will also have an
opportunity to be contracted for
future BS Flag Industries related
creative projects and videos.
The principals of BS Industries took
the BS flag concept, originally
developed in the military, and used
it as a way to open up channels of
communication in the office.
Apparently many others see its
value. Without much promotion, the
flag is doing brisk sales on
www.BSflag.com.
There
are three official reasons to throw
the bullshit flag.

Lies or mistruths in any
form (full, half, overt or
by omission)

Any instance or instances of
injustice (not "fair")
-
Sub-optimal actions or
methods (relative to some
objective)

Industries launched the YouTube
contest so that creative users of
the BS Flag will be able to share
their best and most entertaining
methods in the war on BS.
The
contest, which was announced earlier
on
BSFlag.com,
will be open until November 1,
2007. Full rules for the contest
and ground rules for throwing the
flags are also available on the
site.
Entrants can register for the
contest at

and post their video to the
“Official BS Flag” YouTube Group at:
http://www.youtube.com/group/BSFlag.
The first 100 people to send an
e-mail to BS Industries at
FreeFlag@BSFlag.com
notifying them of their intent to
make a video clip will also receive
an “Official BS Flag” or “Official
Bullshit Flag.” The flag will be
shipped free anywhere in the U.S. or
Canada.
Contest winners will be determined
based on the videos that have the
highest number of “views,” as
calculated by
www.youtube.com,
at the contest deadline.
