in a typical home.

Wakefield, MA
– September 25, 2007 – Agion, a global
leader in natural antimicrobial
solutions, has announced the launch of a
unique website experience starring
Florence Henderson, America’s favorite
TV mom. Shot on the original (but
reconfigured) set of the classic ‘70’s
TV sitcom that made Henderson an
American icon, “That’s Revolting!”
features Henderson as the mom in a
whacked family that’s inadvertently
passing microbes to each other in a
series of over-the-top comedic videos.
Florence also plays the perennially
cheerful host, who urges web viewers to
‘Spot the Germs’ before family members
get ill with everything from Flesh
Eating Bacteria to Salmonella. It’s fun
for the whole family!
“We’re
thrilled to have Florence Henderson help
us demonstrate just how prevalent germs
and microbes are in a typical home, and
what families can do about it without
using harsh synthetic chemicals,” said
Agion VP of Sales and Marketing, Ginger
Merritt. “We were fortunate to have
retained Florence, who is also a leading
spokesperson for City of Hope Hospital,
which incorporates Agion-protected
products,” added Merritt. “Although the
comedy scenes are certainly Revolting
with a capital ‘R’, we hope the site
brings attention to the lurking dangers
of microbes in our everyday environment;
in a way, this is the Internet’s first
anti-viral viral marketing campaign.”
Agion’s
patented technology harnesses the
natural antimicrobial properties of
silver to naturally and continuously
resist the growth of microbes. The Agion
technology is available in a spray,
SilverClene24™, an all-natural and
odorless liquid disinfectant and
virucide that cleans any hard,
non-porous surface and keeps it clean
and germ-free for 24 hours. Leading
brands have also chosen to build Agion
technology directly into their products
– from cell phones to footwear.
“That’s Revolting!” is
Florence Henderson's
first
foray
into the burgeoning world
of online video.
While
much has changed since Henderson
appeared in the Brady Bunch, the acting,
costumes and production style for
“That’s Revolting!” maintain the manic
happiness and bright colors of classic
TV sitcoms, right down to the laugh
track. But instead of grappling with
‘70’s issues such as women’s rights, the
modern family in “That’s Revolting!”
tackle their issues with a 2007 twist.
For example, the kids take on global
warming by inventing their own ‘Global
Cooling Machine’, which is powered by
their pet hamster, Fluffy. Everything’s
gee-wiz great until Fluffy gets a little
carried away, making the contents of his
cage rain down on everything from the
raw chicken livers to dad’s pudding
snack. In another scene, Alicia – the
family’s housekeeper – tries to fight
horrible odors the old fashioned way,
unleashing a ‘Chemical Blast’ of
apocalyptic proportions.
Only you, the viewer, can spot the germs
in time to keep Florence’s family a-ok –
if you really want to.
