Online Film Festival Taps Dead Horse as One of Inaugural Slate of Feature Films
Watch Dead Horse at www.filmgo.com
A charismatic group of Ohio filmmakers who, in just two weeks, produced, wrote and directed a darkly comedic independent feature film about murder-plotting Midwest carpet salesmen has been selected to be one of a handful of feature films to appear on the launch of www.filmgo.net, an online film festival developed with the specific purpose of generating awareness and distribution opportunities for independent films. The film, Dead Horse, stars venerable character actor Daniel von Bargen (Seinfeld, O’ Brother Where Art Thou, Basic Instinct, Philadelphia) and Late Show with David Letterman talent coordinator and stand-up comedian Eddie Brill, along with alternative rocker Pat DiNizio (The Smithereens). The three actors partnered with Midwest-based filmmakers Paul Geiger, Mark R. Turner and Matt Hader to produce the dark comedy. Shot low budget and over a two-week period using two cameras that were rolling at all times – even during rehearsals – Dead Horse is the story of four salesmen struggling to keep a failing carpet store open, as one of them, unbeknownst to the others, plots a murder. Dead Horse can be viewed 24/7 along with the other films at www.filmgo.net. For more information or to set up an interview, please contact Mark R. Turner at 513-313-1455, or by email at mturner@abovethelinemedia.com.
