April 21, 2011 We are pleased to announce that the ConnectedWorld.TV Awards are now open for entries. The ConnectedWorld.TV Awards are the first global awards to focus on creativity and innovation at the intersection of TV and the Internet. In association with IBC Connected World, the ConnectedWorld.TV Awards have been designed to celebrate the creativity of broadcasters, independent producers, technology companies and consumer electronics manufacturers involved in the creation, management and delivery of broadcast content via connected devices. The deadline for entries is 20 May 2011 and finalists will be announced in June. ConnectedWorld.TV Award winners will be presented with their awards at a Black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Hotel Okura, Amsterdam on Monday 12 September, during IBC2011. The ConnectedWorld.TV Awards recognise excellence in "the business of content everywhere". Award categories include: - New content offerings being delivered by broadband
- Innovative use of applications, the web and social media to aid discovery, build new audiences or enhance the programme experience by allowing viewers to interact with the production
- New devices that present the public with new engaging or immersive viewing options
