The all-important issue of understanding formats and compression is also covered thoroughly.
Finally, the reader will work with the accompanying video footage, included on the companion DVD, in a variety of different ways to put theory into practice and drive home the lessons of the book. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christopher Llewellyn Reed holds an M.F.A. from the Graduate Film Program at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. For the better part of the last 20 years he has worked as an educator and a filmmaker and has worked on numerous award-winning films as a director, cinematographer, and editor. He is currently an associate professor in, and chairman of, the Department of Film/Video at Stevenson University (MD).
