Film Production,
"Hate or Date," was in heavy
rotation on iFILM for a few weeks and

top ten most popular comedies ever on
iFilm! An audience favorite from the
Halloween festival, "Hate or Date" was
written by first time Instant Film

Directed, written and produced by Steve
Burger, the award winning
"The
Journal" is a short comedy that follows
a lonely drunk through a wild and hazy
night. Presented with a journal by his
friends who wish he'd remember his boozy
antics, he is horrified to read the sloppy
entries on the painful morning after. Gothic
demon women, half-naked swimmers, mimes and
tattooed bruisers fight through he fog of
his memory, pushing him straight to AA. It's
a bit slow but the punch line at the end
makes it worth while.
What's funnier
than a mockumentary about two
redneck women bowlers who think they
are competing against arch rivals
who turn out to be mentally
challenged guys on their monthly

GRUDGE MATCH,

bowling tournament against their
arch rivals. A short directed by
Derek Rimelspach.

In President George W. Bush's national and
spiritual world-view, America's war against
terrorism and the conflict between
Christianity and Islam are now one and the
same. And the American people - particularly
our children - need to embrace this concept
in a way that's clear and easy to grasp.
Towards that effort, the Bush administration
has created a new animated movie to help
educate the Evangelical Christians on this
complex, global issue. Brought to you by
Dangerous Media
Are
you worried about terrorism and
terrorists? Concerned about bombs and
threats? Well, no need. Just check out

48 Hour Film Project is an international
competition where at 7:PM on Friday night,
teams of filmmakers are handed a GENRE,
CHARACTER NAME, LINE OF DIALOGUE, and a
PROP. All 4 must appear in their film and it
must be written, shot, edited and turned in
by 7:PM on Sunday. 3.2 million miles
accepted this challenge and succeeded in
completing their film on time &
delivered, in an ironic twist "Always
Late" was the first entry turned in.

Ever had a
really good ~ but stupid idea? This should
provide some inspiration. What
about making a video for kittens and cats?
They can watch birds , squirrels, &

simple anyone could do it. But you are
probably laughing ..... who would actually
buy such a video for their cat? Apparently
over 250,000 people have! Check out http://videocatnip.com/
Science
is a wonderful thing. Soon, like smoking,
other socially abhorrent behaviors may find
themselves banned and controlled. You may

scientifically enlightening study of the

Are
you a film maker or independent producer?
You're going to love this! Hosted at TriggerStreet,
The Fabulous Life of an Independent
Producer" by Roberto Serrini is based
on the movie Amelie and is the hilarious
story of the world of an independent
filmmaker in Hollywood. According to the
producer, "This film took tons of prep
and I watched Amelie over and over to make
sure I got the opening right. We took this
to PGL 2 and made top 50, but I have to
believe it was the Miramax connection in the
film that helped us out. The film was washed
heavily through AE and Cinelook to make the
colors pop. It was shot in one day with one
actor and one person on crew and for under
10 bucks. We were given the music rights
rather easy by Yann Tiersen which we are
quite thankful for."
This is a very cute, funny and well made
little 15 minute film about the
mysteries and pleasures of
self-satisfaction. Not for kids, "For
Mature Audiences Only" is Colleen
McGuinness's
exploration of coed fantasy, mating and
dating, as well as a little bit of
self-abuse.
Can't Stand You UP is very cute, six
minute film by Cameron Thrower about the
perils, pitfalls and occasional miracle
moments of dating. Nicely shot and edited,
well acted and a lot of cute. Hosted at
Sudentfilms.com
Did you love Lord of the Rings? Hate it? Either way, check out this cool trailer for the
"Dork of the Rings" a parody set in MUDDLE-Earth that deals with throbbits, Elvis's,
and the dark power of franchised economy. This is director Tim Richardson' latest
in a long line of indie productions, and may very well be the first to hit commercial
success. You don't need fuzzy, hairy feet to appreciate this.
