We'd like
to introduce to you a young film maker who just may become the next
Brian DePalma - or Steven Speilberg. Pedro Pizarro & his friends
created this little flick called " Matrix
Fight " Pedro writes on his film blog " I tell
everyone that my Matrix agent fight was all for fun and they all don't
believe me, they think that we planned the fight for months and planned
out every last punch, but the truth is we made it up on the spot, and we
filmed it in one day." Perhaps it is a new trend for kids to make
up their own "Matrix" movies.... there are several to be found
on the net. Here is another we found that mixes original footage with
their home video from some kids in Great Britain. Matrix

In addition
to using on-line video to make people laugh,
educate and entertain, businesses can use
streaming video to promote their gear and
products. Check out the highly
impressive DragonFlyer
video from RCToys.com. Canadian
high-tech toy designer Zenon Dragan, the Draganflyer’s
creator, has loaded his website with digital
videos to show how it works. As seen on
Ripley's Believe it or Not. This is
something you just have to check out. It is
quite a radical design. The site offers
numerous clips and is very well presented.
Dragan confesses that he has no experience
in videography, "we just started making
movies by coming up with skits and scenes
and doing simple cuts in iMovie. We filmed
one of our flying machines and transferred
the video into iMovie. We learned iMovie in
about an hour and a half. We finished
editing the video later that day, compressed
it in iMovie, posted it to our server, and
hyperlinked the video to an eBay auction.
That was all on the first day of getting a
new video camera. It’s worked out
phenomenally well". Another4Video
selection!
And if you
really like these radio controlled toys,
check out this HPI
Racing site - full of QuickTime movies
of RC stuff!

movie festival sites. If you can not access the video directly, just go
to the Short Film Festival section at the Triggerstreet
web site.
This is sort of spooky and extremely
nerdy. Check out this ASCII
movie based on "The Matrix". No video, no graphics, no
music - no compression - just animated ASCII characters.
This is definitely a bit different than
our typical video web site - submitted by the infamous Rob
Pongi, the Juergen
Specht Photographs site features a series of stills that features
hundreds of dedicated Japanese doing re-enactments of scenes from
Matrix Re-Loaded - in Tokyo It is sort of alike a move but not really...
Want to
create your own version of "The
Matrix" or "Kung Fu Killers"?
- You don't have any fancy cameras and
tripods, can't afford big name start and you
didn't go to Hollywood Film School. You can
still create your own movie masterpiece.
Check out Marum
Fighting, an amateur film by Simen
Ødegård. It's a big MPEG download

Are you using your Mac and the new
iMovie3 to create movies? Check out this short clip "iMovie
3 - That dang Beach ball!" ....and who the heck is Ken Burns

happens when you take a wrong turn on the Net and connect to a auction
site that is not quite right. Also, check out Craig's demo
reel of far out special video effects.

thousands of nerds and IT geeks leave their ozone ridden, air

Network Magazine puts on its annual "Well Connected Awards."

2001: A Space Oddity - this space shuttle landing was produced as a
training exercise for a new group of animators who had joined Atomic
Visual Effects. They used the animators and friends as extras and shot
the whole thing on mini DV. The animation was done in Lightwave, the
camera tracking in Real Viz - Matchmover and the compositing in
combustion. The concept revolves around the self appointed parking
attendants who litter South African streets." --Simon Hansen,
Atomic Visual Effects
