A ragtag team of organic rebels --
Cuke Skywalker, Obi Wan Cannoli, Princess Lettuce, Ham Solo
and his co-pilot Chewbroccoli -- has hit the web in
Store Wars: The Organic Rebellion

Store Wars was originally sent to 10,000 fans of Free Range
Studios. It has now spread virally to 2.4 million viewers,
and has appeared in USA Today, on ABC, CNN and countless
other newspapers, radio programs, TV shows and blogs across
the world. It's time to heed Master Yogurt's teachings --

classic. Get wowed by the special effects

This is
brilliant and is probably the best looking Star Wars Fan
Film we have ever seen! This short flick features some truly
incredible lighting and camerawork. According to the
producers Cory Pacione and Kirk Pennell,
R.2. The Extra-Special
Astromech was created on a budget of approximately
$300.00 Canadian ($220.00 US). The entire film was shot in
Fredericton, New Brunswick (and surrounding areas) over a 4
month period. Filming began in October (a very cold October)
and ending with a few pickup shots in January. Somebody
hire these guys quick

This is really good. What would
happen if you invited Darth Vader to your light saber class and he got just a
little peeved of at you? You don't mess with Darth. Check out this wonderful Fan
Flick from Subversive Pictures, "Star

Talk about mixed genres and subjects - this
cool little
iPOD
race animation combines the Mac religion, with a little bit of Santa Clause,
with a heaping dose of Star Wars. Short and fun.
The Search for Life, Love, and Fulfillment Beyond
the Star Trek Enterprise - O'Reilly Releases Wil Wheaton's "Just a

This
is really weird and sort of strange with some adult overtones. Darth
Vader/Weirdo by Chris McD (QuickTime - 6.2 MB). his highly animated music
video for the band The Left Rights is both funny and surreal.
Mix together a bunch of "borrowed"
Star Wars movie footage with shot sof yourself and what do you have - your own
Star Wars homage film,. Check out Alex
Strikes Back featuring Alex Hatz. The Star Wars universe collides with
Alex's twisted sense of reality as the Millenium Falcon attacks. Will Alex's
skill with the light sabre save the day? (Not likely.) This film was a finalist
in Atom Film's Star Wars Fan Film contest which was judged by George Lucas.
Star
Wars Before & After and all over the web - by 4Video - If you're going to videotape your Star
Wars fighting skills on a school camera, remember to remove the cassette when
you're done. Originally recorded onto an 8mm tape on November 4, 2002 in
the school's studio, the video was never meant to be seen by anyone. After
Ghyslain returned the borrowed videotape to his friend, the video sat in a
basement for months. On April 19, 2003, Ghyslain's friend stumbled on the tape's
secret contents and immediately shared it with friends. They thought it
would be a funny prank to encode the video and upload it to Kazaa.
It didn't take long for the online community to remix this clip with full Star
Wars special effects and lightsaber noises. Raven Software's Bryan Dube the Star
Wars effects on April 24, a mere five days after it originally appeared to the
Internet. A week later, both videos were linked on every major gaming- and
technology-related website, forum, and chat room online.

If
you like Star Wars fan films, and even if you don't, you got to check
out Duality -
produced by Mark Thomas and Dave Macomber, this film was all produced
using Blue Screen. They shot Duality using two miniDV cameras— a
Canon XL1
and a Canon
GL1, both running in progressive (non-interlaced) Frame Movie
mode—and transferred the footage to Macs for editing, audio mixing and
the computer graphics work—the modeling, matte paintings, and
animation. For info about how they made the film, go to the Crew
of Two web site. Take the time to download the BIG versions. It
looks great.
I am sure you have seen the Mac Switch commercials - but here is one
starring Anakin and his switch decision. Check

"Silent
But Deadly"
is a modern day
silent comedy by Jeff Cioletti and Lou Tambone. Filmed on a cold day in
March, 2002, it was submitted to the Atom Film/Lucasfilm Official STAR
WARS fan film awards and became a finalist. In May of 2002, it will go
up against 43 other fine fan films for the top award, the George Lucas
Selects award, chosen by George Lucas himself. There are also other
awards such as the Fan Choice award, where the fans vote online at Atom
and decide their champion.
This
is quite cute. If you like Star Wars fan flicks and/or little kids, you got to
check out Li'l
Jedi from the creative mind of Ron Cabreros. Hosted at iFilm, this flick is
extremely well done. A high resolution version is available at

Combine
a great animated Star Wars parody with an educational flick about the wonders of
conception and you get Tom Newby's Womb
Wars. "It's the Miracle of Life meets 'Star Wars'! I've always wanted
to do a complete short totally in CG. When I conceived, ahem, 'Womb Wars,' I
never imagined it would be so popular, most notably from science teachers who
wanted to show it to their classes to demonstrate the reproductive
process." -- Tom Newby.

Have you yet been to FanFilms.com?
Do you like Star Wars films? Are you a fan of George Lucas, Chewbacca and all
the other classic Star Wars characters? This is the site for you. (Of course, if
you are a true fan, you already know all about it!). Not only does it feature
all kinds of great Star War's fan films - comedies, parodies, animations, trailers, music videos, but there are sections on how to create your
own Star Ware Fan Films. Most of these films and videos can be downloaded to be
appreciated over and over again!. By the way, I'd strongly recommend a broadband
connection or lots of patience as most of these multimedia files are very big.
This site is great. And if you are truly hardcore, go the the TFN Home Site for
more info about Star Wars.
How about them crazy Star Wars
fans...they'll do almost anything to be in first in line to see the
latest episode from Lucas and company. Visit the Star
Wait site to see what happens during the premiere of Star
Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. It arrived on May 16, 2002 and,
in Hollywood, devoted fans began lining up a full 6 weeks before. This
is the story of some of those people. Star
Wait™ is a reality based episodic show that is filmed one night and
edited the next. There will be 9 episodes of Star Wait™.
Stars Wars - Star Wars - Star Wars - everybody is making their own
films based upon the Star Wars concepts. These include fan films,
parodies and even trailers for future and potential Star Wars Flicks.
Check out the trailer for "Broken
Allegiance". Two dark Jedi knights flee the planet Coruscant
but must fight for their freedom when Darth Vader engages the Super
Star Destroyer Executor and vicious bounty hunter to track them down.
This is really well made. If you want to laugh check out "You
Have Got Mail (This Time in the Death Star)" and
"Legacy
of the Jedi". Hosted at iFilm,
this special Star Wars fan section includes FORTY Star Wars videos
and movie shorts!
Take
a journey in to a slightly twisted Star Wars universe where lines have been
replaced with lyrics. See and hear Star Wars, as it’s never been seen or heard
before. Star
Wars- The Musical, created by Todd Washburn - this Star Wars fan video is a
composite of re-cut Star Wars film footage mixed with opera. This is truly well
done.
Combine Star
Wars with Quentin Tarantino and you get - you got it, Quentin
Tarantino's Star Wars - this great little video is hosted at www.evanmather.com
along with a bunch of his other short films. (scroll down to bottom of the home
page to find Quentin Tarantino's Star Wars). Also check out "Kung Fu
Kenobi's Big Adventure" and "Getting Medieval".. Evan
has been making and hosting short films on this site since 1995.
There
are lots of Star War fan movies and parody shorts floating around the
net but how many of them combine humor, Star War's in-jokes with a
political agenda? Check out Farm
Wars: Attack of the Clones. UK based Mevien
Productions (http://www.mevien.com) created a web site
and movie for a British animal welfare charity that is a spoof on the
new Star Wars movie. The film was designed to try and get across the
message of the potential dangers of farm animal cloning and genetic
engineering without shoving it down peoples throats.
Their Star
Wars spoof movie is all about the rebel alliance investigating
Farmer Darth Vaders' Ewok farm. The movie is 10 minutes long and is
designed to appeal to a young audience that understands the Star Wars
genre (loads of in jokes). The site contains additional
information on animal cloning that people can read if they want to.
. Atom
Films is hosting a nice selection on their site, including this
award winning film, which according to them, was selected as George
Lucas' favorite. What
little girl could resist the lure of plastic Star Wars action
figures? Christmas
Tauntauns is a short (2:35) animated musical that details one
little girl's wish to own the entire universe including her very
own Millennium Falcon. It is terminally cute. My
favorite is Darth
Vader's Psychic Hotline - this short was created by John E.
Hudgens and features Claudia Christian from the Babylon 5 TV Show. We
all could use a little DV love guidance.
Star
Wars Gangsta Rap
won the Atom Films audience favorite award.
Funny music, great rhymes and nicely made animation proves that
everyone can be a down home homey. Where do you stand on the Jar-Jar
controversy? As far away as possible? Check out
Jar Jars Walking Papers - a great little short animation
detailing the last conversation between Jar-Jar and George
Lucas.
Here
is another great Star Wars video parody - The
Han Solo Affair is extremely impressive - not only were many of
the props and sets built from Lego pieces, it is all stop action
automation. It is extremely slick and smooth. Star Wars: The Han
Solo Affair is the latest film from Spite
Your Face Productions, produced for The
Lego Group. and developed with the cooperation of Lucasfilm.
The stop-motion animated LEGO short presents an 'alternative' version
of the events which follow Han Solo's capture in The Empire
Strikes Back. While you are at the Lego site, check out some of
the other films, especially
Jurassic Bark
Mix Star Wars with a little pot smoke and you get Hazy Days infamous
"Bong
Wars" web site. Check out the various episodes where Luke Bongsmoker
and Doobie One Cannobie search the universe. Warning: Mature subjects and
language. This is like HighTimes meets Beevis & Butthead.
