Check out the Black Hole music video -  written and directed by Cem Basak (you can 
listen to more tunes at http://www.free2jam.com), It was created in April 2003 for a showcase to promote your own produced music. According to Cem, "Its an experiment in motion graphics with music. it was shot with a Mustek g smart midi digital camera and edited in Adobe AfterEffects." You can download the music video as a zip file, then open it up and play it.


Here's the latest 3D animation from our buddy in Japan, Rob Pongi. Check out "Birds of Prey".  It's sort of a helicopters meets Iraq meets Rob meets Japan sort of thing. Confused?

That Damn Dog is goofy video that not only tells the story of "bad" dog but also serves as humorous introduction to how Java technology may one day be everywhere in our world. This is sort of understandable once you note that this movie, as well as its sister film Crimes Against the System are hosted on the Sun web site.  Even though it is a bit dated, Crimes Against the System is all about the Y2K issue and provides some deep yet funny insight into the problem.

The Ingredient X web site features a wild assortment of odd and funny animations and QuickTime movies.  Make sure to check out some of the  extraordinarily cool animations like "Dumb Things I Did" and "The Hurt Inner Child Show" in the MISC section. In the ad section, the "Mr. Misdemeanor" commercial is great and not to be missed.


 

This is really funny. This animation was created using the old Knack song, "My Sharona" and changing it a bit to "9 Coronas". It may bring back some memories of drunken nights at the bar right before closing. For others this may be daily occurrence. While you at on this web site, check out some of the other odd videos like the Monkey flick. This shows why most human beings are smarter than  apes.


 Check out this animated short from PocketMovies. Road Kill Turtle is a short 2 minute MPEG film that you can download to your computer or to your mobile computing device and play over and over again. This is a turtle with attitude fighting the forces of modern transportation.  


 

From the goofy to the funny...check out Yah Phlem: Nukador. In this 2 minute animation by Hui Wong, we watch as Yak Phlem battles a stethomite for control over a Zook mkIII doomsday rocket. This cool little film was made in a single day using a Connectix QuickCam and a blob of clay. This film, and others, are hosted at CatatonicFilms.com. 


Sometimes in the cartoon world, it's Eat or be Eaten. Check out "Cat Caio", a short animated comedy thriller from Sam Chen, one of the most talented cartoonists working today. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll burp feathers.

This is really funny.  Pauline Capo, Executive Assistant.   You don't need a fast connection - this cartoon looks great at 56K. In corporate America, some offices are like the movie mafia families. Two-time Emmy winner Sharon Gless stars as Pauline, the office capo ruling her organization with an iron fist.


Chi- YOO! Take that, Kung Fu Master. Time for some silly violence and parody of Eastern mysticism? Checkout "The Ninja Who Shagged Me"  - Written by, directed by and starring Adel Ather, this is the tale of how the Chi-Wong School is issued a challenge from a rival school. Watch as the two clans battle for supremacy. A kung-fu Parody! High-kicking cross-chopping action. This is hosted on a great site - NetBroadcaster.com. You got to sign up as a member and endure some irritating pop-up ads, but it is worth it.


Star Wars Gangsta Rap won the Atom Films audience favorite award. Funny music, great rhymes and nicely made animation proves that everyone can be a down home homey. Where do you stand on the Jar-Jar controversy? As far away as possible? Check out Jar Jars Walking Papers - a great little short animation detailing the last conversation between Jar-Jar and George Lucas.  For more Star Wars videos


IceBox.com feature high quality Flash animated cartoons. Many of the cartoons are free while others costs a big 25 cents per play. One of   our favorites is the Hard Drinking Lincoln series from IceBox.com. These are written and created by Mike Reiss. Not only can you see the infamous first episode where old Abe gets plastered and commits some politically incorrect actions, you can also watch the other 13 episodes as well. Not for the squeamish or historians; some mature content, bodily noises, bad language and comic allusions. This is one of the Pay for Play sites that is definitely worth supporting.

Internet Killed the Video Star - A brilliant musical parody for the Internet generation based on the Buggles hit which welcomed MTV to our culture. Even the loading sequence on this is cool. Warning - Includes adult images.

Watch Ornaments - XMAS cartoon for the Family. Ornaments is an award-winning 3D computer animated short story about a mischievous Christmas tree decoration with a hunger for some milk and cookies. It was created by Aaron James Erimez at home using a single computer.

 

In late 2001, following the events of 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan, there were a bunch of great Osama Bin Laden and Taliban flash movies and animations created and posted on the Internet. This is our favorite and the one that got the biggest coverage.

Are you into animation? Have you ever heard of the Future Animators of the Future? Not only does their web site host some great looking and very interesting animated shorts, they also produce festivals and shows designed to promote animation. Check out their Cinema page to see the online content. One of our favorites is "Correcto - Incorrecto". It helped us to improve our everyday office communications and interactions and management strategies.


 

Tango, by Nirek Nisenbaum, is a playful, impressionistic film that interprets the music of a tango in an explosively colorful fashion, not unlike some of the scenes from "Fantasia".  Original music. Roubada - A purse snatcher snags more than he bargained for in this award-winning short from Brazilian animators Renan de Moraes and Sergio Yamasaki. Strap yourself in for a death-defying wheelchair chase that rolls to a satisfying finish.


Hearts and Hammers is a very interesting examination of the relationship between men and women; and how they handle relationships and love.
