eating a bit too much sugar? Too much soda,
too much candy...too much too much? Check
out Living
with Ridalyn, a short animated film single-handedly
created by Ron Noble, who wrote the story in
one night, storyboarded and scripted in less
than a week, and then spent the next 22
months working 80 hours a week to finish.

Some
view dating as a war between men and women. Some view it more as a
friendly game. However, in this short video Battle
of the Sexes by Eric Kripke, we find out what goes on behind the
scenes. This is very funny and extremely well produced. Check it out.
This is a
wonderfully designed site that is a lot of
fun. Perfect for adults and kids. We are
talking about the Turtle
Tv Network. Picture this,
parodies of classic movies, television,
and pop culture. Now picture them
with turtles as the stars. Their
animations, videos and website have been
finalists in a growing number of
interactive and Film and video Festivals
including Newport Beach Film Fest, South
By Southwest Interactive Festival, and
they took home a Platinum award for our
videos at WorldFest in Houston. My
favorite is "The One with The
Matrix". Outstanding production value
and technique. In addition, they
offer funny shockwave games and other
content of interest to kids and families.
Good stuff.
Talk about
mixed genres and subjects - this cool little
iPOD race animation combines the Mac
religion, with a little bit of Santa Clause,
with a heaping dose of Star Wars. Short and
fun.
Saddam
has been captured and you can see tape!
yup...after several knockdown drag out
fights with the CIA they have finally seen
the light and are allowing Joe Cartoon to
release the footage for your viewing
pleasure. the "Saddam Capture
Video" awaits you at: http://www.joecartoon.com
it gets messy... so crack a brew before you
view! It's a bit crass but funny....
Ratrix
by Tom Newby, is an hilarious animation
- a rodent parody of the overly serious
Matrix film trilogy. Very well done and
quite funny with lots of Matrix in-jokes.
This
might be the funniest and most awesome web
advertisement ever. Produced using
Macromedia Flash Video, Superman teams
up with Jerry Seinfeld for an Internet based
ad for American Express. The
four-minute piece, entitled "A
Uniform Used to Mean Something,"
was co-written by Seinfeld and directed by
acclaimed film director Barry Levinson, is
absolutely hilarious. In addition, the
interactive web site is amazing. Great
stuff.
If
you are planning to take a trip to Italy
anytime soon, you first got to watch
"Europe
and Italy". Created by Bruno
Bozzetto, it is a a hilarious flash
animation ... and you don't need to
understand or speak Italian to get the
jokes. And when it is all over, there
a couple of other flash movies to enjoy as
well.
Critter
Island is a short and funny 3D
animation that introduces two roaches of
rival species. On a mission to save their
families from extermination, they are thrown
into an adventure where they must rely on
each other for survival.
Animation
can be subversive. Check out Dangerous
Media and see how they are trying to
change the world. Their two newest
productions are "Commander Bush and the
Last Crusade" and "TV
Series". Did you realize that the only
real WMD may be your tv set and the powers
that program? Check it out... The "TimeBomb's
Man of the Year" is also great.
This is
pushing the edge animation.Roof
Sex is pretty salacious ..what happens
when your furniture gets the hots. It can be
pretty hot, wild and rough. Watch as these
two do it on the roof and knock their
stuffing out.
The toostupidtobepresident.com
web site is dedicated to demonstrating that
George Bush is not fit for office
solely by reason of insufficient
intelligence. Perhaps, his brain was damaged
by a 20 year alcoholic binge. Maybe it was
all the alleged cocaine, or even a
combination of both the former and the
latter. He may have just started life with
an inferior processor. A man of his pedigree
would suffer from a lack of diversity in his
genetic make-up. But, we will not address
the possible reasons for his limitation. We
will deal only with George W. Bush's present
and potential mental capacity.
Some have
said this site is mean. But if it's mean, it
is only because of the sad truth that George
W. Bush is dumb. If he were smart the site
wouldn't be mean, it would be silly. Perhaps
as Dubya has said recently, "there
ought to be limits to freedom." Check
it out - it's a great collection of
ShockWave cartoons.
Do you have
kids? Do they ever really irritate you and
drive you crazy? If so, then you got to
watch the newest Joe
Cartoon production, Joe
Mamma. Believe it or not, my kids have
even pulled similar stunts. Warning:
this contains mature language, simulated
cartoon violence, and too many pop-up ads.
Despite that, this may make you you laugh.
Follow the penguin.

creation of their movies.
Tony
Laudati created the original stop animation
video Barbie
- Chicks with Sticks with 2
Barbie Dolls - and a lot of patience. This
was completed frame by frame using stop
animation. At the end of this "silly
little video" Tony adds he is seeking
investors for a film... well he got 2
million dollars and a film contract. For
providing all the aspiring video producers
with proof that it can be done. Tony earns
this weeks Internet Video Magazine's Video
of the week. Check out the pre
trailer of the film ( using real
girls).
You got to see
this - the "Send
Me an Angel" music video from
Deadstar Assembly. Created at South Florida
Studios and directed by Rip Odebralski, the
animation is incredible - the live action
video blended with the animation is
mind-boggling. When you are done with the
video, check out the site and the other
videos. This is an amazing and very
professionally designed and developed web
site and demonstrates wonderful creativity.

it, you can then cross over into the
colorful world of the Sissy Squad! Enjoy the
comic adventures of three cross-dressing

OK
so maybe these aren't videos or short films
but these Flash animations at SmilePop
are a lot of fun. And they are short.
Great for viral dissemination to your
friends, lovers and enemies. Among the cute
and silly animations on the site, are two
that really stick out for us nerdy web
oriented folk. Check out Gotta
Be Updated, a goofy little ditty sung to
to the tune of a classic Ramones song.
Another cool
computer related flash bit is "Internet
Soapbox" a short educational piece
about classic Internet legends and hoaxes.
Send this Flash animation to that person who
pesters with dumb email messages.

Check out
2001: A Space Oddity - this space
shuttle landing was produced as a training
exercise for a new group of animators who
had joined Atomic Visual Effects. They used
the animators and friends as extras and shot
the whole thing on mini DV. The animation
was done in Lightwave, the camera tracking
in Real Viz - Matchmover and the compositing
in combustion. The concept revolves around
the self appointed parking attendants who
litter South African streets." --Simon
Hansen, Atomic Visual Effects

check out the animations featured on Mark
Fiore's web site. Mark Fiore is a

His work appears in print and on the web and

Predator missile.
Looking
for a spare Naboo Nubian BR459 or a Desert
Skiff? How about a replacement Borg
Cube? Check out Crazy
Watto - it demonstrates what happens
when video producer, a writer, and the guy
responsible for creating MEN IN BLACK get
together with a camera and a bunch of toys.
If you are a true Stars Fan, download Crazy
Watto to your hard drive and watch it
over and over. If you can, blow it up on a
big screen and watch it in slow motion to
get some of the scrolling jokes and puns
flying by. There are a lot of great Star
War's flicks at FanFilms.com including this
team's latest blockbuster The
JediI Hunter. What if Boba Fett
was possibly Steve Irwin, aka The Crocodile
Hunter
The
Roses and the Wine is a great looking
rock and roll animation. This short video
was created and designed by Scott Tansley.
He also did the music as well. Pretty darn
cool and it actually rocks! Beware - this
requires a 10.5 MB download. It may take a
while to get the full MPEG video onto your
hard drive but it is worth it.
