StreetCast TV site is
very interesting amalgam of online video and a interactive
web site catering to the investment community. Each day
features a streaming webcast of the StockWatch TV show. You
can also access stock quotes, current financial news, and
other items of interests to news junkies and investors.
Not all video
web sites have to be super sophisticated and slick to be
effective. Sometimes it is a simple site, with easy to
follow links and logic, that can work the best. For example,
check out
Robin
Henkel's web site. A musician, he uses the site to
promote himself and his music. He has a very simple video
web page with a nice assortment of video clips.
This week, AtomFilms is debuting their new
Reactor section,
where you can watch provocative shorts and rant about the
hot-button issues they tackle. As the 4th of July

wonderful
filmmaker web resource, for news,

mainstream films. Bokserfilms is also a
production company that specializes in
shorts, commercials, music videos, 3D/2D,
animations, and much more.
Sometimes
you got to visit Canada to see some great
examples of good video and film making.
Check out the Big
Rock Eddies Award film site. They
combine two classics, watching TV and
drinking beer. Check out the online
winners from 2003 as well as submit your
film to win for 2004. Some of these
fake spec commercials are really good. Have
a brew on me, bro, Eh? The first place
winner "Audition" is awesome.

a great find. And who would believe these
team of filmmakers live in Los Angeles. You
got to check out
FilmGeneration and their great
collection of short videos. Some are silly,
some are goofy and some are just great. One
of my favorites is Love Sick Love, a story
of all encompassing, all devouring love.

creations. Human
Dog.com is brilliantly designed
and laid out - simple, graphic and very
effective. Not only that, but its chockfull
of cool funny videos and animations.
You may have heard of "b" movies - well how
about "c" movies - for crazzzeee. Check out ScreenEdge
for some of the most wild and bizarre films ever made that will never
appear at your local video store. The site includes a bunch of cool
trailers, videos shorts and music videos, as well as an online store to buy
the DVD's directly. If you like the strange, bizarre and wonderful, this
site is definitely worth checking out.
If you want to watch movies as well
as classic cartoons and videos, check out CinemaNow.
Most of the featured films are what would be considered exploitation or
"B" movies but there is nothing wrong with that. Some of the
movies provide a choice of either live streaming or download. When you
sign up you get a choice of Internet access speeds, ranging from 56K
dial-up to 700K broadband. This site combines both a pay per view
section that enables you to watch the latest movies and TV shows, it
also has a free area where you can access great classic content, as well
as cartoons, funny short films, documentaries as well as over a hundred
free classic and "b" type feature-length films that you can
watch online.
Internet
Film Community is a great site with great experimental movies, short
videos, great commercials, wonderful parodies and extremely cool music
videos. Some of our favorites include "Sexy
Boy" by Air, a very innovative animated music video, and "Java
Noir", a extremely well made and dark look at the world of
mystery and coffee and atmosphere.
Do you like to watch people doing stupid

Like the before mentioned CinemaNow, they also provide a mix of over 400
free and pay per view films. However, they have a much smaller range of
selections and much less free content. Even worse, their free content
plays back in a tiny window that cannot be moved or re-sized. However,
they do offer over fifty movies and programs in Spanish. Like the rest
of the site, most of the Spanish programming is pay per view but some is
gratis. Users of CinemaPop to view the first five minutes of any paid
feature at CinemaPop for free. Following the preview period, however,
only paid subscribers will be able to view a movie. An individual movie
may be viewed for a 24-hour period for $1.95. More than 400 features can
be viewed with unlimited 24/7 access for $4.95 per month.
InterneTV - site
features a good selection of music videos, movie trailers and shorts,
comedy clips as well as some very interesting original programming. www.internetv.com
ThoseGuysOnLine
- this is a great site for seeing some wild and bizarre videos and
movies. In addition to great fake news blasts, this sites features
wonderful digital video movies covering a wide range of areas including
film parodies, MP3 music and several strange animated productions.. Most
of the material featured on the site was create by the five guys
themselves. the - ThoseGuysOnLine. Check it out.
MovieFlix
is an online video on demand service with thousands of movies,
cartoons, documentaries. There is a wide range of free content as well
as paid content. Check out the Indie and film festival sections - most
of the movies and videos there are free. However, for mere $4.95 a
month, you can access to all of their PLUS content. That is a heck of a
deal. This includes full-length feature films, both new and classic,
tons of classic TV programs and commercials, westerns - sci-fi and even
silent films and serials. It is amazing. The hardest part is to decide
what to watch!
Urban
Entertainment is a production, exhibition, and distribution
company focused on African American and urban-themed entertainment
content across multiple platforms and distribution channels. Check them
out. They have lots of great short videos, music videos and animations.
They are also actively seeking new productions to feature on the web
site as well as to market to major Hollywood companies.

stars as well as links to Film Festivals. You can even watch
commercials and infomercials.
Trailervision
is a great site for viewing wonderfully funny, amazingly creative and
oddly different parodies of Hollywood film trailers and previews. This
is a must see on the Mark-O-Meter!

Crap
TV, - this is a weird little site
which features odd little original videos, movies, and music videos -
most of which are very crass and trashy. In addition, I have never been
able to watch an entire clip without having their server burp, even at
56K download. The titles and descriptions sound interesting through.
Thinking of visiting California but you
can't escape from your desk? You love to hike Big Sur or dive off
Monterrey coast but don't want to drag the kids along? Check out the
Endorphin web site which
specializes in travel videos of California's central coast area. Most of
these videos are high resolution, high quality QuickTime files so it is
recommended you use a broadband connection to access them. The
site also includes videos about various activities and people who live
and work in the area.
