If you are
into science fiction and fan films, you
got to check out the SuperTeam
web site. Superteam are the
first people to have made a Stargate fan
film. "Call it a Stargate"
The makers have made 4 episodes and are
currently making a 5th. Despite only
spending 30 pounds per episode put you
off, these funny fan films have
been shown at conventions, in magazines
& websites and they have even had
emails from the makers of the Real
Stargate show saying how much they loved
them. Superteam claims to be the
world's first amateur film makers to
have made 2 films at the same time, a
normal version and a 3D version (
glasses needed) called "Starship
Troopers Smoothnecks". They will be
creating a Dungeons and Dragons Film
based on the cartoon series - it's going
to be the world first amateur film to be
shot in live action and converted into a
cartoon.
This is very
interesting. Not our usual fare to
spotlight, but if you are an independent
film and video maker, or are just
interested in how videos and short films
get made, you got to check out "Inside
Report" a streaming news show
that gives you the inside scoop on the
independent film scene in the UK. Check it
out.

funny? Do you have some goofy and strange
friends? Do at least some of your family
and friends also think you are funny? Then
pick up a camcorder, practice your lines a
few times, and make a funny video. When

Not all
video web sites are created and maintained
by professional video producers and film
makers; or businesses in the trade. Many
people use their personal web sites as a
home for their personal videos and movies.
Check out this site - hosted in England,
the
GillianG Video Collection is a
collection of Gillian's travel videos from
around the world as well as some personal
and video club projects. This site
demonstrates another great way individuals
can use the net and video to share their
experiences with their friends, their
families and the rest of the world.
This is a
wonderfully designed site that is a lot of
fun. Perfect for adults and kids. We are
talking about the Turtle
Tv Network. Picture this,
parodies of classic movies, television,
and pop culture. Now picture
them
with turtles as the stars. Their videos
and website have both been finalists in a
growing number of interactive and Film and
video Festivals including Newport Beach
Film Fest, South By Southwest Interactive
Festival, and they took home a Platinum
award for our videos at WorldFest in
Houston. My favorite is "The One with
The Matrix". Outstanding production
value and technique. In addition,
they offer funny shockwave games and other
content of interest to kids and families.
Good stuff.

Not all
streaming videos or short films need to
have meaning or to convey a message or
even to be all that interesting or
entertaining. Check out the PointLess
TV web site - this wonderfully
designed site features a bunch of well
made but "pointless" videos.
Pointless TV is a great place to go to see
some free and somewhat funny, online
videos and play some online games.
It's also the official website for
Pointless TV, a sporadically-aired public
access show out of Wisconsin. It's
impressive what these guys were able to
accomplish on a small budget. Now, if
someone could just get them a writer or a
box of plots...

Have you
ever visited Cloud10
TV? In just a few years, Cloud 10
Entertainment (the portal
that is all about making people laugh) has
moved into the ranks of the most popular
entertainment sites on the Internet. At
first glance, Cloud10.org may seem
questionable, and to some, a bit risqué,
but Cloud 10 is much more than that. Cloud
10 started from nothing, just a smart guy
(Mike Baker) with a pen and a few pieces of
paper, and later a Pentium 120 with a
whopping 16 megs of ram. From original Flash
cartoons, to hilarious in-house videos, to
music/Photoshop/Flash contests, to
informative technical advice, Cloud 10 has
grown at an astonishing rate. . The site is
currently tied into hundreds of other sites,
sharing traffic with musicians, techies,
cartoonists, comedians, digital artists,
news portals and so on. Click
here for the Cloud 10 TV shows and videos.
WARNING: this site includes links to
adult materials.
A new site
to check out for great TV commercials is www.funnymovies.net.

very nice collection of mostly European
commercials with a definite funny and sexy
edge. You'll need to download and install a

Gallery features and
Internet videos down to smaller sizes at higher quality levels. Check
it out. Download and install the DiVx player; try out a few of the
free movies and content on the web site. This is not true streaming media
but it is really cool and looks great. According to DiVX, over 1.5 million copies
have already been downloaded from their web site.
Warner Bros FilmFest - even the big guys recognize the

need to check out this site. Based in Europe,

well as other types of multimedia projects. One of the spotlighted
projects is Crutch, an 8 minute B/W film. Very moody

computer before you can watch it. Even with a fast broadband
connection, downloading the 14 MB file may take awhile but it is
worth it. getoutthere.com is a platform for creative expression set
up to encourage musicians, film-makers, writers and photographers to
promote themselves and their work using the web. Partnerships are

content is way over 120 seconds in length. I keep visiting this site
over and over trying to figure just what they are trying to do...maybe
you can help me... Check out their Digital
Film Festival and watch the finalists in the Narrative, Animation,
Music, Experimental and Documentary categories.

Are you just starting out creating and
posting your own Internet videos and movies? Are you a bit intimidated
by the overall high quality of most streaming media sites and the
productions they are hosting? Well, then check out the Funny
Movies web site and see what you can do with just a little
imagination and basic video production and editing gear. None of these
very short movies will ever win an Oscar, Emmy, or any award at all, but
they are fun and serve to show that even beginners can get a foothold in
the world of Internet video.
Here is an exceptional find. The Ingredient
X Entertainment web site features a great mix of entertaining
videos, animations and multimedia productions. It is easy to spend hours
