fans...they'll do almost anything to be in first in line to see the
latest episode from Lucas and company. Visit the Star

in Hollywood, devoted fans began lining up a full 6 weeks before. This

Do
you want to make movies and become a famous director? Check out Filmwave.com,
Filmwave is the home for brother filmmakers Joseph and Dylan Conner, who
have been featured in such publications as Rolling Stone Magazine.
You'll find films they have written, produced, and directed, as well as
starred in and shot and edited, etc., etc. . Some are great, some are
goofy, and some are well...beginner efforts. However, they show what a
small group of dedicated filmmakers can do with a little equipment, some
time and a lots of creativity and ingenuity. Put this on your Favorites
list as I think we will be hearing a lot more from the Connor family.
Our favorites are MP3 the Movie and The Other Osbourne's.
It's a whole bunch of films - check out
the 2002 Award Winners at the 120seconds/com
Digital Film Festival. The various award categories include
animation, documentary, music video, experimental and narrative. Even
though most have a Canadian tilt, these are great. Some of our favorites
are Karoke, Midnight Express and Chilly Beach: Out of Thin Ale.
Have
you been to FanFilms.com?
Do you like Star Wars films? Are you a fan of George Lucas, Chewbacca
and all the other classic Star Wars characters? This is the site for
you. (Of course, if you are a true fan, you already know all about it!).
Not only does it feature all kinds of great Star War's fan films -
comedies, parodies, homages, animations, trailers, music videos, but
there are sections on how to create your own Star Ware Fan Films. Most
of these films and videos can be downloaded to be appreciated over and
over again!. By the way, I'd strongly recommend a broadband connection
or lots of patience as most of these multimedia files are very big. This
site is great. And if you are truly hardcore, go the the TFN Home Site
for more info about Star Wars.
This maybe one of the weirdest sites on the web for watching short
films and videos. InsaneFilms.com
boasts that "insanefilms.com is a place where anyone can show
his/her films, no matter how disturbing, boring, or strange they may
be. All films submitted to the site will be posted to the site
provided that no copyright laws are violated."
Some of these films are great, some are awful but are truly strange
and different. Check under the Usama category for very interesting,
on the edge filmmaking. WARNING - this site is for 18 and up
only.-
How To Promote Your Movie, Web Site, Product or Service at Internet Video Magazine **
Kerblooey

talented video artists. Join the fight for Sensibull
Speling - are you tired of all those unneeded silent letters and odd
letters that nobody really needs like Q and L?. Check out this flick
from the Kerblooey web site. The Zooty
Whipcracker Hooting Regimen will make you hoot ..and laugh...These
black and white QuickTime movies are very well produced --- and they
are funny.

groups creating short films, videos and programs. Some are shared
among friends and relatives, some get aired on public access TV, and
some are just seen on the Net. Visit www.zaxistv.com

camera and the ability to digitize your movie? Well then checkout
Comedy Central's HomeGrownHumor section and the special Short

Adbusters
is a very intriguing web site and print magazine that tries to battle
against the persuasive evils of advertising and consumerism. Blending
politics and creativity together, they have developed numerous
campaigns designed to open the eyes of the easily seduced. In
addition to our pick of the week video, "PowerLung"
they also have a nice selection of other "uncommercials"
as well as spoof ads. Part of their manifesto is ...Our aim is to
topple existing power structures and forge a major shift in the way
we will live in the 21st century. We believe culture jamming can be
to our era what civil rights was to the '60s, what feminism was to
the '70s, what environmental activism was to the '80s. It will alter
the way we live and think."
DevilsFun
is an
extremely cool European site that features an extensive collection of classic
humorous commercials, with an emphasis on European content and
international content. All can be downloaded and added to your
personal collection.
Check out http://www.dvdocumentaries.com
to view some very interesting documentaries created by Nathan Bramble. I
found the "Ghost
Hunters" and the "EverQuest
Players LFG" documentaries to be absorbing. Once they started
rolling, I was stuck to my computer monitor. In addition to Nathan's
documentaries, he also includes links to other films as well as
equipment reviews, how to guides, etc. Nathan shoots these professional
looking documentaries with a "consumer" Sony DCR - TRV 8 Mini-DV
camera and a single camera mounted shotgun mike. He edits using Adobe
Premiere. Impressive!!!!
"Boneland
- Weapons of Mass Distraction" is a great site if you
like flash animations, games and funny downloads. Their content runs
from the simply odd and goofy to over-the-edge gross. Some of their
stuff is free, some of it is available only through their pay site.
However, it is only $2.95 per month for total access to LOTS of great
stuff. You might want to start by visiting their
animated Promo/PSA for themselves and the other web based
entertainment sites that charge for access. It's pretty good and its
FREE.
Do
you love great commercials? How about great UK commercials. They
often are a bit wilder and crazy than United States Commercials. The AbsolutelyAndy
web site has an incredible array of downloadable commercials, with
interesting notes about their history and music and what makes them
so unique. He is using MPEG4 based compression which enables these
commercials to be downloaded and played back in high quality even
over a low bandwidth connection.
Looking for a cool streaming web
site with lots of music, arts and other creative and artistic
content? Check out WAM.TV from the
UK. Unlike most other sites listed at Internet Video Magazine, they
don't offer video on demand. Instead, they function more like a radio
or TV station, web casting a very eclectic mix of videos and
programming. They broadcasts the arts from around the world.
Encompassing all forms of art from opera and ballet to club culture
and festivals, they aim to make the arts more accessible to a global
audience. They provide a unique forum for filmmakers, musicians and
artists both amateur and professional, to show their work on an
international platform. This is a great site to have running in the
corner of your computer screen while you are working.
This is really cool
and very different. Is it video, is it a movie?
Is Jaqueline L Lying is a French interactive
web site in which you have to figure out if the sexy and alluring

Want to see
some funny animations? Check out 512
Productions - their stuff may not be the
most sophisticated but it is entertaining.
Some of our favorites includes "Windows

Rivers parody song and Ugly
Girl, a twisted version of the song
Barbie Girl. The site also offers games.
