interesting. A rare glimpse into the way press

Congress and the problems they face. Leading political
photographers in Washington talk about the perils of the
24/7 news cycle and the increasingly sparse access.

Consumer health advocate and outspoken NaturalNews
editor Michael Adams has just released another hip-hop
single entitled, "Don't Touch My Junk."
Created by Michael Adams (the "Health Ranger"),
"Don't Touch My Junk" exposes the aggressive,
obscene pat-down procedures now being used by the
TSA on air travelers. The song is based on real
dialog from traveler John Tyner who secretly
recorded his conversation with TSA officials who
tried to perform an "aggressive pat down" on him. He
tells them, "Don't touch my junk, or I'll have you
arrested." Learn more at

The
Story of Electronics,
released on November 9th, 2010 at
storyofelectronics.org,
takes on the electronics industry’s “design for the
dump” mentality and champions product take back to spur
companies to make less toxic, more easily recyclable and
longer lasting products. Produced byFree Range
Studios
and hosted by Annie Leonard, the eight-minute film
explains ‘planned obsolescence’—products designed to be
replaced as quickly as possible—and its often hidden
consequences for tech workers, the environment and us.
The film concludes with an opportunity for viewers to
send a message to electronics companies demanding that
they
“make ‘em safe,
make ‘em last, and take ‘em back.”

The Girl Effect
- Girls living in poverty are
uniquely capable of creating a better future. But when a
girl reaches adolescence, she comes to a crossroads. She
either get a chance, gets educated, stays healthy and
HIV negative, marries when she chooses, raises a healthy
family, and has the opportunity to raise the standard of
living for herself and those around her. Or not. This
engaging video artfully probes deeper into the "girl
effect".

Change for the Oceans
- Given enough time, sea life could adapt to climate
change. Sadly animals evolve far too slowly. But we can
change as quickly as we choose to. Small actions can
make a real difference. Produced by Free Range Studios.
Narration by John Cleese who carries a reusable bag and
to date has refused 3,982 plastic water bottles.
. What will you do to
help ocean life and our future?
How do you make safe
personal care products from poisonous ingredients like
lead, mercury and carcinogens? Duh, you can't! It's the
simple rule "toxics in, toxics out." But the companies
who make everything from shampoo to lipstick to
deodorant still don't seem to get it. And that means
we're all at risk.
This is more than a great new movie, it's your chance to
finally turn this crazy industry around. With a new bill
in Congress that would make personal care products safe,
it's critical that we spread this message far and wide
and speak up for change.

Your
traditional Thanksgiving meal is at risk and
it has nothing to do with the economy!
Bees are
disappearing in North America at an alarming
rate, and scientists don’t understand why.
And since bees are directly responsible for
pollinating a third of our food crops — and
indirectly, for another third — long-term
prospects for the traditional holiday spread
are pretty bleak. Just imagine
Thanksgiving without squash, broccoli, lima
beans, cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie. No
apple cider! No pecan pie! Not even a cup of
coffee. See for yourself with this video

where do YOUR premiums go? Netting $2.5 billion in

nation's largest insurance company.
Now, WellPoint's affiliate, Anthem Blue Cross and
Blue Shield, is suing the state of Maine for
refusing to guarantee it a profit margin in the
midst of a painful recession.
As if Mainers didn't have enough to worry about just
struggling to put food on the table, WellPoint is
intent on forcing them to cough up 18.5% higher
premiums on their insurance policies.
While WellPoint lobbies against granting Americans
the right to affordable coverage, it's claiming that
it has the right to a guaranteed profit margin, paid
for by struggling working families. Mainers are
outraged, and they're fighting back.

- the world is full of wonderful and inspiring
stories, some unfolding in distant places and others right
next door. KarmaTube is dedicated to bringing more of these
stories to light, using the power of video and the internet
to demonstrate and multiply acts of compassion, generosity

Our vision is
to create and connect a global network of volunteers awake
to capturing these stories, using simple digital video
cameras. While the stories produced may be polished and
professional or diamonds-in-the-rough, the crucial
through-line is this: they celebrate the work of local
change agents, demonstrating the ways "do something" moments
can be "tipping point" experiences for individuals and
communities. To complete the circle, KarmaTube offers three
simple suggestions for ways to support the action and spirit
