DSLR cameras and lenses are designed for still photography, making hand-held video shooting and control problematic.


 

The HandiZoom's inventive design and controls eliminate these complications, through an ergonomic handgrip for much needed stability with hand-held video shots; a Motorized Zoom Lens Drive for smooth zoom control; and a host of features placing primary camera control functions...at your fingertips.


 

The HandiZoom Handgrip situates all of its camera controls for single-handed fluid adjustment of Zoom Speed and Direction; Record Start and Stop; Auto/Manual Iris and Set Iris; Fine Focus Magnification; Maximum Zoom Speed; Still Photo Shots; and more - leaving the other hand free for manual focus or additional camera stabilization.

DSLR Zoom Lenses*

• Camera functions are controlled via a USB connection between the HandiZoom Handgrip and a DSLR-supported camera.  (NOTE: a Mini USB male to Mini USB male control cable is supplied.)

• Powered via a 2.5mm Coaxial Power Connector compatible with power sources ranging between 5 VDC and 15 VDC including ENG batteries from the Anton BauerŽ product line. (NOTE: Power Cable with 2.5mm Coaxial Power Connector and Anton BauerŽ PowerTap connector supplied; Anton BauerŽ batteries and other products not included)

Developed for ENG-style hand-held shooting, the HandiZoom’s lightweight, yet sturdy design provides ultimate portability and flexibility for fast, steady shooting.

 

Tactile HandGrip

With primary controls at your fingertips, the HandiZoom Handgrip supplies critical stability for hand-held video shots, with easy access to primary camera controls for • Zoom Speed & Direction • Record Start & Stop • Auto/Manual Iris & Set Iris • Fine Focus Magnification • Maximum Zoom Speed • Set Zoom Range at Lens Change • Still Photo Shots.

 

Single-handed Balance

The conveniently crafted HandiZoom Handgrip provides the freedom to focus/adjust the lens with one hand, and comfortably grip and control the zoom and camera with the other.

 

See-saw Controller

For smooth driving, the HandiZoom’s motorized See-saw controller provides precise zoom speed and directional control from slow moving to rapid zoom effects.

 

Precise Fine Focus Magnification

For fine focus, the HandiZoom’s Magnify Button will increase image size to 5x, 10x – and back to normal view.

 

 

Flexible Gear Drive for Lens Change

DSLRs offer quick-release mechanisms for easy lens changes. Supplying a closely related solution, the HandiZoom includes an adjustable Gear Drive and Gear Straps that attach to each lens, simplifying DSLR lens changes.

Adjustable Zoom Max Speed Control

Set the maximum zoom speed with HandiZoom’s adjustable zoom speed control to provide a set limit for your zoom speed in a given shot.

3rd Party LANC Support

The HandiZoom provides a built-in remote control connection that is compatible with 3rd party LANC protocol remote zoom control devices. This association allows for zoom and start/stop control functionality from any compatible LANC remote control device.
