At NAB, Newtek announced three new TriCaster live production systems, the 4 channel TriCaster 455, the 8 channel TriCaster 855 and the new, mind blowing TriCaster 8000 24 channel switcher with 8 M/E rows and 8 channels of ISO. Who needs a TV studio anymore? Just plug in your video sources - cameras, web sources, local video players, etc., and you are ready to create and produce a slick looking show. Not only are the TriCasters total video switching and effects systems - perfect for either the live production or editing room environment, but they also provide an impressive virtual set capability. Arm with yourself with a small blue screen background and you can put your talent anywhere in the world - whether it exists or not. By using included TriCaster system virtual sets, you can build amazing sets with realistic foregrounds and moving backgrounds. Add realism to any virtual set with four live sources—each with four layers of overlay, all with transitions, sounds, 3D positioning and effects. The size, capacity and capabilities are scaled for professionals who produce big, live productions for delivery to on-air, projectors and the Web. The TriCaster 8000, including the control surface, is expected to be available in Q3 2012 for a retail price of US$39,995.
